Minutes of Meeting Held July 2, 2007

Denny’s Restaurant, Rosedale Highway, Bakersfield

Call To Order:    The meeting was called to order at 7:00 by President Danny Tatum.

Minutes of Meeting:  Moved, seconded and passed that the minutes of the previous meeting be accepted as submitted.

Treasurer’s Report:  Balance is $14,055 with 1 bill to be paid, and a deposit to be made.

Correspondence:

*           Letter from Shy Dreger Foundation acknowledging our donation.

Announcements:

·                     Hoot Gibson reported that the principal of Wasco High School complained about finding cigarette butts and beer cans in the trash bins after the car show.  The members present discussed being sure that we make and post signs to let all participants know that smoking is NOT allowed on the school grounds, and that we police the grounds afterward to be sure there are no cigarette butts or other objectionable items remaining.

·                     Wayne Gann reported he still has some t-shirts from the car show available.

OFCC Club Runs & Activities

·                     July 21 – Christmas in July – 2:00 at the Sr. Citizen Building, 131 E. 1^st St, Buttonwillow.

·                     August – 50’s Dance & Dinner in Woody – Date will be announced at the August meeting.

Car Shows & Other Activities:

*           Christ’s Church of the Valley, July 7, Car Show

*           Golden State Nationals October 5-7 in Sacramento.

*           Monthly – Farmer Boys Restaurant on California Ave. – 1^st and 3^rd Saturday of the month at 6:00.  Raffle, 50/50, discounts on your food order.
